Bownik (b.1977, Poland) uses an array of conventions found in 1940s cinema, classical painting and archival photography to examine the cultural shifts that have occurred through the proliferation of technology and science. From methodically disassembled and reassembled plants to the abodes of modern day gaming athletes, there remains a constant curiosity into the impressions left by modernity.
