A week before I came, a flood hits the local and a large amount of water had to be removed from the air. Air quality has to be systematically monitored to be at its best condition and perfectly preserve the cinematic films. The collection of the Cinematek is one of the largest in the world. It currently has nearly 145,000 elements corresponding to 70,000 movie titles: fiction films, documentaries, feature films, short films, showing the origins of cinema to today. The collection grows every year by 2,000 copies on average. For long-term storage, the Cinematek currently has three fully equipped warehouses, secured, air-conditioned, offering a storage area of over 12,000 m2.
